Top 5 displacement activities, or "I know I should be writing, but..."
- 1. Club Penguin. If you spot a penguin named Runip in there, bombard it with snowballs until it goes away to do some work.
- 2. Spider solitaire. Simple, but irritatingly compulsive.
- 3. Ebay. Actually a two-in-one displacement activity: one for all the time you spend browsing and buying, and one for those happy hours spent re-listing all the useless garbage you've bought.
- 4. Spurious research; ie. clicking on Wikipedia's random article generator until your eyes glaze over.
- 5. Blogging. Writing about writing isn't really writing. Is it?
